Stock molds
All of our knobs are made with our high production molds. There
are no additional tooling charges for any stock knobs. Each
knob description has a chart with the available stock sized
threads. Metric threads are also available on most of our knobs.
Unlike other knob manufacturers, special length studs are standard
with us. Whether you require .375" long or 8" long
threads, we will not charge you extra for set-ups or fixture
modifications.
Custom molding
& machining
A to Z Tool, Inc has the capability to machine special ends,
points, rounds, etc. Our design department can help you find
the best knob for your application.
Super tough material
All of our plastic knobs are molded with #ST801 Super Tough
Nylon Material. Our knobs are GUARANTEED not to break. They
are ridged and super tough. They resist impact and common chemicals.
They can withstand both low temperatures and ambient heat. Our
standard color for our knobs is black. Other colors are available
when the quantities can justify the material change.

Whether you require a sample, 10 pieces, or 100,000 pieces A
to Z Tool, Inc., can supply them to your specifications. On
time delivery and high quality standards are always upheld.
What’s in
the knob?
All of our knobs have three basic female inserts. Tapped metal
inserts in either blind, or through hole, threaded studs, and
reamed brass bushing.
Tapped metal inserts
Most of our stock knobs have brass inserts. Plated
steel inserts are also available. The insert can be either blind,
or through threads.

Threaded metal studs
Any stock sized knob is also available with a threaded stud. Any
length stud is available. Different plating options are available.
All studs have U.S. standard tolerances.
Reamed brass bushings
When attaching a round or a D shaft with a setscrew, or when pinning
is necessary. We can supply you with a tapped hole through the
side of the knob with or with out a setscrew.
Secondary operations
We manufacture many knobs that require secondary operations such
as drilling, tapping, pinning, cross-holes, marking, etc. We have
the capabilities to do any of the secondary operations you require.
Tolerances
- Product dimensions: +/- .010"
- Concentricity: +/- .020"
Assembly
We can assemble the parts you provide to the knob and ship as
an assembly.
Packaging
You won’t find your knobs all over the delivery
truck. Our packaging department will make sure your products are
bagged, layered, wrapped, taped, and sealed to make sure the product
you receive will be as good as it was when it left our plant.
Custom knobs
A to Z Tool, Inc. also has machining capabilities to make screw
machine parts, spin knobs, aluminum knobs, spacers, special threads,
flats, grooves, etc. Like our ad says, "YOU NAME
IT, WE CAN KNOB IT!"
